Tenuipalpidae and Tetranychidae (Trombidiformes, Tetranychoidea) from Syria with a description of a new species of Bryobia

Surveys of Tenuipalpidae and Tetranychidae were conducted at three locations in Latakia governorate, Syria, 2021. Eight species collected; four flat mite which Aegyptobia beglarovi, Cenopalpus lineola, Pentamerismus juniperi new records for Syria; spider among Petrobia (Mesotetranychus) tunisiae represented a record. A tetranychid species, Bryobia (Lyobia) hadizeni sp. nov., collected from Calicotome villosa, is described illustrated. The number known Syria increases to 16 there are now 25 Tetranychidae.

The generic definition of Terminalichus is updated and a key to the world species is provided.
